Dallas draft pick will miss his rookie season after tearing his pectoral muscle during off-season workouts.

The Dallas Cowboys have yet to even start training camp and already they've received a heavy dose of bad news.

Robert Brewster, a third-round draft pick out of Ball State, will miss the entire 2009 season due to tearing his pectorial muscle, according to sources.

Brewster, who has yet to sign, was expected to compete as a reserve offensive tackle this coming season, but will now be forced to watch from the sidelines after tearing his pectoral muscle while lifting weights.

Brewster did not miss a game in four years at Ball State, where he earned All-Mid American Conference honors his last two seasons.

The Cowboys are set to open training camp Wednesday at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
