2015 Ball State Target: Trey Linton

2015 Ball State Target: Trey Linton

Our series on the 2015 Class and what prospects surely are on the radar for Ball State Football.

Ball State isn't done in North Carolina just yet.

Despite not signing a prospect in the Class of 2014 from the Tar Heel State, they are still in the market for players there. Case in point: Trey Linton.

Linton is a 5-11 170 DB from Charlotte's Christian School. He recently visited campus and came away impressed.

"It was great! The coaches, campus, facility were awesome," Linton said. "I had a chance to workout and do some one-on-one stuff with the players."

Linton is also hearing from Appalachian State, North Carolina, NC State and Pittsburgh.

Quick Scouting Report: Linton is a ballhawking cover corner who is not afraid to get involved against the running game. He shows good hips and better than average speed for his position. He attacks routes and reads and reacts very well. Linton has good size at 5-11 and at 170, will only get bigger in a college weight program.
