After a record breaking senior season, Covington Catholic quarterback Blake Bir made his college decision. FOX Sports Next has the latest.
Blake Bir threw for 2851 yards and 38 touchdowns as a senior, leading his team to a 9-4 record and the third round of the playoffs. After his great season, Bir got a lot of interest from numerous schools, but he settled in on one program.
“Blake has verbally committed to play football at the University of Dayton,” said Anthony Bir, Blake’s father. “He will sign a letter of intent Wednesday.”
Bir picked the Flyers for a couple of different reasons.
“We are very excited that Blake will have the opportunity to continue to play football at such a great academic school and be close to home,” said Bir. “He has three younger brothers and the ability to see them play was a determining factor,” Mr. Bir finished.
