Nathan Ollie, a sophomore defensive tackle on the Ball State football team, was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Defensive Player of the Week.

Ollie collected four tackles, including two sacks, in Ball State's 27-20 win over Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday.

Ollie's first sack of the night was on a 3rd and 12 play with the game tied at 14-14, as the sack forced Indiana to kick a field goal, which gave the Hoosiers a 17-14 lead.

Ollie's second sack of the game came late in the third quarter on a 1st and 10 play when Ollie sacked the Hoosiers for a seven yard loss to help Ball State hold on to a 24-17 lead.

This marks the first time in Ollie's career he has received the weekly award from the MAC.
